Apparently if you are Nick and Wendy's kid, or married to one, and married you will have a baby this year! There was absolutely no planning involved, it just kinda happened. Linda had her baby in May, Nicole is due in August, Megan's is due in September, and Heather's is due in October. 
We went to the "top of the Rock," which is the Rockefeller Center, at night and got to see a great view of the city at night. 
We got a cool picture of the Empire State Building all lit up. 
The next day we went on top of Empire State and got a great daytime view of the city. It is amazing how many tall buildings there are there. 
Later that night we got to go and see Wicked!!! Megan was very excited, she has been wanting to see this show for a few years now, so it was awesome for her to finally see it. It was very good! Thankfully everyone else liked it too, since she told them we had to go see it. :)
We also went to the Museum of Natural History (the one from the movie Night at the Museum). It was pretty cool to see, but it didn't look too much like the movie.
We also went to Central Park, of course! It is so amazing that they have this huge park in the middle of a towering city. While we were there we had to stop at a hot dog stand and get a hot dog. Megan forgot that Marcus wanted to take a picture, so hers was pretty much gone by that time! Dang hungry pregnant lady! :)
Last but not least we went to see the Statue of Liberty. She hasn't aged one bit! :) It is fun to see so many places that you see frequently in the movies. It makes them a little more real.

This has been a tradition for us since we started dating. 
It is much more fun having a kid to take with us now! :) Payton really seemed to enjoy watching it with his cousins. Mom and Dad were on guard the whole time for candy being chucked at him...they were throwing it a little too hard this year. 
Payton had fun trying to spray some of the people in the parade as they walked by, he thought it was pretty funny.
The next day Megan's cousin Marci invited us to go for a train ride down at a house in Lindon where they have a train track that goes all around a bunch of peoples houses. It was really neat how they had it all set up. 
Payton had a lot of fun riding on it with his second cousins and we did too! 
We invited all the family over for cake and ice cream and had all his cousins decorate their own construction hat with stickers. It was lots of fun. He had fun opening all of his presents, but he didn't like that as soon as he opened one we took it away to have him open another. He wanted to keep playing with each new toy.
Megan made his birthday cake to look like there was "dirt" on it and had the digger on it too. When he first saw it he got all wide eyed and thought it was pretty cool. He grabbed the digger and tried to shove the shovel part into the cake. It was very cute.
We made our annual family trip to Lake Powell this year the end of June. Papa let Payton help him drive the houseboat and honk the horn a few times, he thought that was pretty cool. It was really hot, but thankfully the water was still cool and refreshing.
We took Payton for his first ride on the Jetski's, which he really enjoyed, and on the tube, which he loved and didn't want to get off.
We went with Megan's family, Drew, and the Forrest's (neighbors), it was a very fun group.
Payton and Megan had fun riding in the boat and watching Drew, Andrew, and Marcus get tossed around on the tube. 
They caught some good air a few times and kept going back for more.
Payton had a hard time taking naps and getting to bed on time since there was so much going on all the time, he had a couple melt-downs. 
On the ride home he got a really good nap. He woke up after sleeping for a couple hours, asked for his book, and then fell back to sleep minutes after. It was very cute!
He really seemed to like seeing all the animals in person. 
He was somewhat mesmerized by all of them. We got to see the white alligator, lots of monkeys, zebras, penguins, giraffes, tigers, bears, elephants, and the list goes on and on. 
It was a fun little family outing for us. 
Payton gets soooooo excited whenever he sees one so to get to actually touch it and sit on it was way cool!!!

Payton got out of the pool to get his life jacket. He only took a few steps then quickly squatted down because he was cold and wouldn't move. It was very funny. He loved being tossed in the air by daddy. He is definately a thrill seeker.

Every time I wash the sheets and attempt to fold them, Payton gets really excited and quickly runs over and lays down on them. Watch the clip to find out why (sorry it is sideways)...
