Winter Fun

 Megan and the kids went sledding with some neighbors.

 Emma was a little unsure of it.

 But she discovered the art of eating snow and sure did enjoy that!

Payton was very proud of his snowman.

Christmas!!!

Oh, how we love Christmas!!  It is so much fun with little ones, and seems to get better each year as they understand it more.  Christmas Eve we spent with Megan's parents and her sister, Tiana. We had an amazing meal (made by Tiana of course).  Grandma dressed up Payton and Emma as Joseph and Mary.  They thought it was really cool, and were so cute!

Christmas morning was so exciting to see what Santa had brought.  We made the kids sit for a picture before they could dig in, this is the best we could get (I can't blame them).

Emma got one of Megan's dolls from when she was a kid.  She LOVED it and was so excited (so was Megan).

Payton got a matching tie with his Daddy, he thought that was super cool!

It is so much fun having a kid who can write. Way to use up all the space and squeeze that last letter in there!

The wrapping paper pile is almost as fun as the new gifts!  Almost.

After our house we went over to Grandma and Papa's to have the traditional breakfast of whole wheat pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Love it!

Later that day we went to the Haroldsen's with the whole family and continued the Christmas festivities there!

December

We started off December writing letters to Santa.  This was a first for us and was a lot of fun, the kids were so excited.  They had fun drawing pictures of what they wanted.

We made a visit to Temple Square to see the lights. It was quite chilly, but well worth it! So beautiful!!  

We rode Trax downtown, the kids thought this was just as cool as seeing the lights.

Payton really liked the tree with all the orange lights, go figure!

We made lots of Christmas goodies for our neighbors.  The kids really liked "helping" Megan by cleaning off the spatula.

Halloween

This year we went to the Halloween Symphony with the kids.  They thought it was pretty neat.  Payton even recognized some of the songs they played from Little Einsteins.

For our costumes this year we did a family theme, we were all Lego's.  Megan made the costumes out of boxes, cups, and 4 different colors of spray paint.  

They turned out pretty cool! They even looked cool just stacked up in the corner.   

A few days before Halloween the kids got the stomach flu.  That was fun - not!  They had it for 3 days, on Halloween they felt better, but still low on energy, so we were able to drive around to a handful of houses for the kids to have fun and get some not so needed sugar. (Sugar that Megan would likely be devouring for days)

We carved our pumpkins after the holiday, the kids had lots of fun cleaning out the guts.

St. George

With our "fun" medical adventures this summer, we were not able to go on as many trips as we had planned before our schedules got too crazy again.  So mid October we made an escape!

We were able to make a trip down to St. George with Jeff and Heather's family as well as Megan's parents.  It was a lot of fun, the kids loved being with their cousins and having a pool to swim in.  

Emma and Ginger had a blast together and loved their matching jammies!

We also got to see cute Grandpa Mitch and have him hang out with us.

We hiked up on some red rock and got a fun silhouette picture of Megan & and the kids showing off their huge muscles!

Fall Days up the Canyon

We decided to take the kids up the canyon while we were still having warm weather and go for a little walk on a trail.  

The kids loved being outdoors (like most kids) and loved checking nature out! 

 

We climbed up on some huge boulders and checked out the view.

We love the mountains!

Family & Kids Pictures

So we finally got around to getting current pictures of our kids and an updated family picture for this year.

Megan's cousin, Marci, took them for us and she did a great job.  The kids were really cooperative too (which helps!).

We started off with Payton, he was so stinking cute! It was REALLY hard to choose one to hang on the wall. He is such a funny kid.  His 4 years old stats are 37 lbs. and 3'5" tall.  He is the same height that Marcus was at 4!

Emma was also super cute for her pictures.  She has such a sweet little look.

Her 2 year old stats are 24 lbs. and only 1/2" shy of 3 feet.  She is a tall one!

We also got some cute pics of the two together.

They really do have some sweet moments together when Payton isn't making Emma scream or cry. :)

Payton really looks up to his daddy.  They are both so freaking cute!

Emma is a total mommy's girl! Megan loves it (most of the time), but sometimes it makes daddy feel a little left out.

We got some super cute family pictures too. It was hard to choose only one of these too! So much fun!

Emma's Birthday

Our baby is two!?!?! We are not exactly sure how or when it happened, but Emma is no longer a baby. :( She has grown up on us and turned into a little girly girl. She is super cute and has a fun little personality, although she has become a little more sassy since the birthday (funny how that happens).  

For her party we had all the girl cousins come over and play dress-ups.  They had so much fun and were so cute to watch.  Even the little ones and mom's had fun with it!

The girls had lots of fun trying on many different outfits, by the end of it all the floor was covered in clothes!

Later we had the boys join us for presents and cake and ice cream.  Megan made a cute jewelery box cake. She has a lot of fun making the kids birthday cakes. Emma LOVED it and really enjoyed licking the beaters from the frosting.

She was so cute sitting in a big chair and sharing her cake with her daddy.  She is such a sweet little girl!

Once everyone was gone, Payton decided to try on some of the jewelery that the girls had.  Silly cute boy!
